Night Out on The Town
The boy is at yet another sleep over - I am starting to think he has some sort of Goldilocks Syndrome. This time he is spending the night at an old high school friend's house.

Happy 80th Uncle Jimmy!
| Make a Smilebox slideshow |
This is the other thing that has taken up all my time, but those misty eyes when he saw it made it all worth it in the end! What a beautiful life and what a family we are blessed to have. Love you all!

Movie Night EEEK
We just subscribed to Netflix and I added all of the movies that won the Golden Globes to the list. We watched Milk last Friday and it was a very interesting movie. Sean Penn was fantastic. Well, in the middle of the movie Hubby stood up and declared there's a mouse! EEEEK I yelled and did what any rational person would do..... I ran out of the room and jumped up on the counter. Those are my pajama clad legs and feet in the picture. Mice don't bother me as much as frogs, but I don't like their unpredictable behavior either.
The next day I was in the kitchen and the good old cat (yes he is alive) came strutting into the dining room with - you guessed it - the mouse in his mouth. I ran out and grabbed the animal catcher i.e. the husband and he caught the little thing.
Step 1: Distract cat and trap unsuspecting mouse under a broom.

The Army and One Big Frog
Back to the story - Around 12:36 this morning the phone rang and it was my dear husband's boss. After the blood rushed back into my body I found out that the software was not doing what it needed to do and that he had to drive into the office aka the Pentagon and fix it. Well, the poor guy had woken up at 4:30 that day so he could accompany me to dance lessons. What a nice hubby, but that is whole other post. I decided that he was in no condition to drive, so I called my mother and asked her to waltz across the yard to sit with the kids while they slept, so I could drive him. Just to let you know - she was not a happy lady. I went outside to warm up the van when I came face to face with that vile creature. I never encountered these animals in the city - Although I did encounter all other types of animals, but they were 2-legged and just cruised the pubs. I came back into the house after that awful encounter to find out that the emergency was solved and we could go back to bed. It's been a long....long....day!

Our Snow Day
I was standing in the hallway at Church when I heard someone say "Maybe up to 10 inches of snow before it's all over." I've been so busy that I missed all the news about the impending snow storm. I went through the list in my head - bananas: check, milk: nope, toilet paper: check, bread:nope..... so off to the store I rushed after the bouncy Birthday party we attended.
It started as a light dusting and my hubby took the kids out to play while I unpacked groceries.
Dad was so excited about coming home a little early to hit the hill with his prized Radio Flyer that he bought 3 years ago and still has not been to use. Unfortunately the snow was just too deep and only the tubes could make it down the hill. They had a blast nonetheless.
There aren't many pics of Bella because the snow was thigh deep for her and she just kept repeating "It's too deep!". The poor thing ran into the snow fell on her face and was stranded like the kids you see on TV unable to move with all of her snow gear. It's hard to be 3 some days.

A week of updates
It's been a week full of moving from place to place all week and I have hardly had time to collect my thoughts let alone photos.
We bought a van with leather seats and a moon roof. I wonder how long it will take for this one to look like a petting zoo????
We had another date night and it was less eventful than the last one see a summary. We made a lovely dinner of salmon stuffed with herb goat cheese and a mustard glaze on top.
We admired Uncle Fred and his big big beer.

“Children and drunks always speak the truth.”
P.S. We'll ignore the fact that Bella is nowhere to be found !
