Total Excitement

I feel like I should send a note to school apologizing to my dear son's teacher that he is not his typical self today. I think his head may explode between now and dusk!!!! Bella has been singing a new song this week and it goes a little like this "twik oooooorrrr tweat....twick oooooor tweat...... and so on..........

My sorry state of affairs

I vowed to myself last year that I would not buy clothes until I reached my goal weight. Well, this vow has saved lots of money, but now I have nothing to wear. I know what you guys are thinking - you've heard this a million times, but I REALLY have nothing to wear. I cleaned out my closet of the clothes which I am happy to say were too big and this is what is left!

The clothes on the left belong to my husband and the pole in the back is mine. I hope you like seeing me in my 4 sweaters, 4 shirts and the same pair of jeans for the next 2 months! The bottom pole are the 3 suits that I had pre-babies so they still fit. I may have to start showing up to play dates in suits at this rate! Good thing I work from home.

Sometimes I feel silenced in these times.....

In Church last week we covered James 2:1-13 and this passage in particular reconfirmed my thoughts about all of the terrible things I have heard our community voicing towards their fellow neighbors in these times of political turbulence. People are so proud to "study" the Bible, but how often to we practice what is written without our own biases influencing our actual actions?

If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"also said, "Do not murder."If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

Another weekend full of fun

This was a busy, but fun weekend. We went to the pumpkin patch on Friday for Bella's school and her big brother was able to tag along since his school was closed. It was more of a class reunion for him because all of his friends from his old preschool were there since most of us have round two in the school. They spent a lot of time screaming and running through the mazes made out of straw. Did I mention they did a lot of screaming - I think I'm deaf.

Then Bella decided that since she was at a farm there H
AD to be horses somewhere! So, we found a pair and I really don't think she caught onto Mommy's little secret. They were so well behaved and they were in the exact same place she left them each time. SHHHH - I know this won't fly next year.

There were lots of fun things to do at the farm -
Playtime in the corn-boxes (Mommy still has to clean the corn out of the washing machine), getting lost in the corn maze and picking out some heavy pumpkins. Bella liked to point out all of the rotten mushy ones she saw along the way.

On Saturday we had soccer and then spent the rest of the day doing chores - no fun = no pics

Sunday we went to Church and attended a volunteer picnic after wards. The kids had lots of fun eating yummy food and bouncing. Moon bounces and Church are going to be forever connected in our kid's heads. Every occasion at our Church is just an excuse to chill out and watch the kids be kids.

Next stop on the agenda was one of the newest wineries in the county for a family farm day. There were wine tastings, pony rides, kettle corn, hayrides, ducks, bunnies and lots of candy. The boy even found a lucky horse shoe.

Rock Star

Bella sings and dances through most of her day - needless to say she loves music. Her Father is also dying to have a little rock star so he can share is love of music with someone other than is tone deaf wife who will never play guitar. I think he secretly dreams of having is own little indie Partridge Family. In any case, Bella went to her first rock concert. She saw Ralph's World which was much better than sitting through the Wiggles or Barney. It was at one of the local night clubs - in between nap times. Here's how it went.....
"This is a pretty cool place to play. It's a little dark though.... Oh Well - Peek-a-Boo""Cool....Those guys have guitars just like Daddy. This is just like the shows I watch on TV with Dad when Mom's out."
"Clear the floor - I'm the Dancing Queen.... watch me spin"
"Ahhh... Front Row... Those are some cute Dads up there"

"I love the Belly Button song!""Time for a post show snack with Mommy"

My Little Heart breaker

Yesterday I was doing all of the typical hurrying to get out to the school bus stuff when I stood at the door with my dear son and started going through my list:

Me - O.k. - I remembered your Box Tops for Education, your check for the pumpkin patch, your homework..... hmmm.... did I forget anything?

The Little Heart breaker - Yes Mommy...... did you remember that I love you?

Moms and Dads watch out - He may steal your daughter's heart one day!

A Kingdom for Kids - Dutch Wonderland

We piled the family in the van again for another long ride - this time to PA to visit Dutch Wonderland. For those of you that haven't been, it's an amusement park geared to the under 10 crowd. We met our friends along with their son and enjoyed the beautiful weather and excitement. The boys had so much fun and Bella spent most of her day in search of the next "horsey". They rode all the rides and the boys really enjoyed the roller coasters and the log ride. Bella could have won the Guinness Book of World Records for the most times on the carousel. I received an emergency call from Grandma to come ride the carousel with Bella because she had already gone so many times that she felt ill.

There were way too many pictures to post so I created a slide show over there on the right.
